Welcome to the new window cleaning sub forum. This is the very first post in what we hope may become a valueable addition to the roof cleaning forum. Here is a video from our friends at Window Cleaning Resource.
I like window cleaning, but I only make about half of what I do in pressure cleaning and roof cleaning and I don't like getting tied down all day at one job?

Hi guys! I'm here because of Deejay's recommendation. I have been thinking about adding roof cleaning and so I'll be here learning the ropes. Thanks in advance for all the knowledge you are putting out there for others.

Id imagine the window guys could teach us a thing or two about advertising too.
We can ALL learn from each other Chris. A mind is like a Parachute, it works best when open. I have a TON of facebook friends who are window cleaners, just kind of worked out that way. Helped some of them get into roof cleaning too. Some are real Ballsy, hanging from scaffolds on high rise buildings.

Hey Tony welcome! How you been? If you have been wanting to add roof cleaning you are now in the right spot to get any questions answerd. These guys are great and are willing to help.
Welcome. that is exactly what Chris Tucker's desires are to attract window cleaners, carpet cleaners, tile cleaners and cleaners in general to this site!
perhaps you window cleaning guys can share your knowledge with us too!

Welcome to the Forum Tony! I fixed your signature, and gave you a text link for your keywords. I made it blue to match Logo as close as possible. Some of us roof cleaners don't even know the basics of window cleaning. How do you charge for cleaning windows on a residential house ?

We charge by the pane and offer the most complete cleaning in our area. For a double hung window we would charge $11 for all the glass, wet wiping the sill, track brushing, and a basic screen cleaning.

Wow Tony I think I may need to raise my prices a touch. Is that ground floor? I decided to check this forum out because of Alex talking about all the add ons at MWWCC.

I charge between 12-15 for a double hung. I really dont charge per pane that much anymore I mostly can tell how long it will take and charge per hour.
Nice to see some window cleaners over here. I have quite a few calling me about roof cleaning since I've posted some roof cleaning stuff on WCR.
I'm doing a roof cleaning segment at the New Orleans Round Table next week. If any of y'all want to come the hotel has a few rooms left. If you want to learn some serious marketing stuff that will apply to any service business then don't miss it!

I'm about the highest in my market but I offer the most complete service also.
Kevin's marketing seminar helped us look for opportunities to increase our customers perceived value of the service we are offering.

Hello everyone, I found this forum in Google. Looks like this window cleaning sub forum is coming along nicely. I look forward to networking with you guys:)
Roof cleaning, gutter cleaning and house washing are the best add on services to offer our customers. Like Tony's comment about offering the most complete service, we gain more customers daily that want to use us because we offer the complete package.
It seems rare now that were going in to do just windows anymore, its always coupled with 1 or 2 other services.
Whats up guys! Lots of familiar faces here. We want to add roof cleaning in 2011, so I figured this was the best place to come and learn. Im happy to help if anyone has any Window Cleaning questions of course.
